Who we are

The Community Care Collective is a queer birthwork collective that offers accessible, affirming, and trauma-informed holistic care for families.

In addition to homebirth, we offer community classes and wellness events, lactation support, perinatal massage, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and babywearing support.

Our goal is to build community, reduce isolation, and provide compassionate, culturally inclusive support that honors all families and bodies.

    Ashley Baxter, LM, CPM, BSM

    She/Her/Hers

    Ashley is a licensed and certified professional midwife. She began her birth worker journey as a labor support professional in 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia. Midwifery education brought her to California in 2017, and San Diego has been her favorite place to live with her tiny human, cat, and partner since 2023.

    Dallas Casillas, CLEC, BWE

    She/Her/Hers

    Dallas is a certified lactation education counselor, babywearing educator, and midwife’s assistant. She got started in birth work in 2013 in Reno, NV. San Diego has been her home since 2015. She lives here with her spouse and two children, Big E and little e.

    Dr. Haley Cook, DC

    She/Her/Hers

    Dr. Haley is a Pediatric and Perinatal Chiropractor who graduated from Palmer College West in March of 2025. She is the founder of Coastal Bloom Chiropractic and Wellness. She is Webster Certified and completing her Perinatal Certificate through the ICPA. She is a San Diego local and loves to find new walking trails, local coffee shops, and go to concerts. She was a competitive dancer as a kid, and now dances for fun!

    Andi Cosme, CLEC

    They/Them/Theirs

    Andi is a midwifery assistant, birth and postpartum doula, certified lactation education counselor, and the founder of Cuddle Care Birthwork. They began their birth work journey in 2022 as a volunteer NICU cuddler. They live in San Diego with their wife, Maggie, and enjoys spending their free time with extended and chosen family, or working with local queer/trans mutual aid groups and nonprofits.

    Rosemary Aquilino, CMT

    She/Her/Hers

    Rosemary is a certified massage therapist and postpartum doula. They’ve worked in health and wellness for 8 years and are from the central California coast. She offers radical care to support special populations of the birthing community and works hard to make sure all birthing people are supported in their birth journeys.
